Seltech now offers integrated passive conponents from IPDiA.

IPDiA at the glance: Established in 1st June 2009 IPDiA is the result of more than 10 years of R&D carried out in large international groups - Philips & NXP - which led to the invention of innovative 3D technologies to integrate Passive Devices Leading supplier of silicon passive components and 3D silicon packaging using PICS 1,2 and 3 technologies

IPDiA's"PICS"passive integration (IPD) technology is a highly efficient way to integrate 10's to 100's of passive components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors , PIN diodes and Zener diodes in a single Silicon die.

Thanks to IPDiA's PICS (Passive Integrated Connecting Substrate) technology, you can save up to 80 % of the printed circuit board area currently required for discrete SMD solutions. There are 4 different steps of integration possible:

 IPDiA’s value proposition are :

• • Miniaturization: size of electronic devices can be reduced by a factor of 10, thickness as low as 100 μm)
  • Performances: higher stability (temp, voltage, ageing), higher reliability (no cracking unlike MLC)

The integrated passive components include:

  • Integrated protection devices (HB LED TVS diodes, HB LED Submounts and Other Protection devices)
  • Customized products (Platforms for integration, Customized product realizations etc.)

Those integrated passive components are used in all demanding applications, such as Telecom, Aerospace, Industrial, Lighting Communications but also in High reliability applications, High temperature applications, Space constraint applications, Low ageing and High density integration.
